I know in my case where I work 40 miles away from home the only day I can accept and sign for packages is on Saturday's. If they stopped mail delivery, I could not have anything delivered to my house. (And having it delivered to my office is not an option either). I thing that's probably why they won't cut Saturday - for a lot of people who work in offices, Saturday is the only day that can do their USPS business. <BR/><BR/>I agree thinking about my mail delivery that Tuesday is the lightest day.
