They put thick insulation over the top of the old siding, making that siding part of the insulation. Then put on the new siding on top of that. <br />I had thought of getting insulation blown in before, but now I don&#39;t have to worry about that, as my walls are now insulated. <br /><br />A few years ago, I put in a new shower kit when the old shower wall rotted out. While they had it out, I had a roll or 2 of insulation added, before they put the new shower kit in. It involves drilling a 2 inch hole between each stud and using a rented blower to push cellulose insulation into the walls. We&#39;re actually doing it for our home this weekend. We have to pop off a few rows of our vinyl insulation to do it though. We have a 68 yo house with absolutely no insulation in the walls.Clever Dudehttp://www.cleverdude.comnoreply@blogger.com
