However, just the mere fact that this is an American soldier who nearly paid the ultimate price for our country should be enough, but for some it's not. Add in the fact that not even a year later their home was GONE. Now that's great tv and a chance for a bunch of people to make a difference. Word has it that not only are they getting a new home, the church is getting remodeled, and a new community center, the crew is also planning to help on some other families' remodeling projects. This isn't just about one family. This is about a bunch of people coming together and helping an entire COMMUNITY. This is how the midwest works at its best, isn't it? *sigh* this is the ONE aspect I miss of my growing up in Kansas. But I don't miss the Wichita violence (though compared to the other big cities I've lived in or near lately - Cincinnati and Philadelphia - Wichita is safer than safe)!Lynx217http://www.blogger.com/profile/13494800019983587961noreply@blogger.com
