No, I don't beleive you can spend your way to prosperity. And I'm not sure that spending itself is what caused the current recession.

However, I don't think you can blame just the Democrats for the current situation. In looking at the budget deficits since 1961, the three biggest spenders were the Reagan, Bush and Bush administrations.

I often wonder if our government has lost all their common sense.

Common sense tells you to not spend more than you make.

Common sense tells you not to borrow.

Common sense tells you to save for a rainy day because it will rain, and sometimes rain very hard.

Our government has lost their common sense.

They borrow from foreign countries. They waste a sizeable chunk of what they take from us, the ordinary citizens. When their coffers start to fill, they go out out and spend at least 5 times what they have coming in.

Then, when they can't collect enough money, they raise the taxes, over and over and over.

I got one saying, that came from somewhere, and it said "The government eventually runs out of other people's money."

That's where we are headed, America. I only hope it isn't too late to VOTE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE FOLKS OUT OF OUR GOVERNMENT AND REPLACE THEM WITH SOMEONE ELSE, SOMEONE TOTALLY NEW.

Spending is easy, but not the answer.
We don't need all this stuff.
Also company heads do not need to make millions. So if we spend less, companies may go under, but I think it will remind us of what our needs vs. wants really are.
I am a simple girl, and not that wordly, but we have all we need, and we are happy.
